Letter to ED
Before you begin, there are 3 rules to journaling: (1) feel all the emotions that may arise (2) resist the urge to edit & polish (3) be entirely honest with yourself.
Write a letter to your eating disorder. Reflecting on the function and role it has played in your life; how has it served you? Where is it no longer helping you? What do you think life without it can look like? What promises has your eating disorder made to you? Have those promises been fulfilled? How so? What about the unkept promises? How has your eating disorder impacted relationships? Your goals and motivation for life plans/school/career? What changes have you seen in your life since deciding to pursue recovery?
