Rachael Ananian, LMFT CEDS

I’m the founder of Nourished Resilience, a practice rooted in the belief that healing happens in safe, connected relationships—within ourselves and with others.

I’m a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist offering therapy for individuals, couples, and families in Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, and Washington D.C.

I work with adolescents (14+), adults, couples, and new or expecting parents navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief, and relationship challenges. I help clients explore family-of-origin dynamics and strengthen trust and connection in their relationships. Using training in both individual and relational systems, I offer therapy that honors the complexity of your inner and outer worlds.

My approach is relational, inclusive, and collaborative. I aim to create a space where you feel heard, grounded, and empowered. Rooted in systemic theory, I focus on the patterns and relationships shaping your experience—not just the symptoms—to support lasting change.

I draw from evidence-based modalities like CBT, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), narrative therapy, and Gottman Method Couples Therapy, tailoring treatment to your goals. I’m especially passionate about couples work, helping partners build connection, improve communication, and navigate transitions together. I approach therapy with curiosity, compassion, and respect for your lived experience.

In addition to clinical work, I’ve held leadership roles in supervision and program development, bringing that depth of experience into each session. Whether you’re seeking clarity, connection, or change, I meet you with warmth, transparency, and a belief in your resilience.
